Chili for the Alcoholic

Ok, not really...but the recipe we have I use either beer or wine.  With the weather getting a nice chilly temperature, it's finally the perfect soup/chili weather! Feel free to use as much organic ingredients as possible!  ;)

Ingredients:
3 lbs. ground beef (or ground turkey)
1-2 onions, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, mashed
1-2 cans diced tomato(we use the Trader Joe's diced and fire roasted tomatoes that have green chilis in it)
1 can kidney beans

1/2 - 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
2 Tbsp. dried oregano
2 Tbsp. dried basil
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Red chili flakes (to taste)
1 can beef stock (or a couple tsp. of Superior Touch beef base)
2 cups beer or 1/4 to 1/2 cup  wine
(optional) 1 small can chopped green chilis
Goat milk yogurt (or sour cream) for garnish
Tortilla chips for garnish
Avocado for garnish
Cheese for garnish

Instructions:
Brown the meat and then add the remaining ingredients.  Cook at least an hour.  The longer you cook it the more flavorful it is!  Garnish individually!
