Happy Belated Resurrection Wednesday

In contemplating how our family will celebrate Easter I was sent this article from my SIL.  Pretty much the whole bunny and egg thing, moon and sun thing...all pagan.  Not that I'm surprised.

Then in reading the account of Christ's death, watching the Passion, listening to our sermon this week, and talking with friends I became aware that Christ died the day before the Passover, which is partially why the soldiers went to break the legs of the others being crucified - so they would make sure they died before Passover.  It truly is Good Monday (not Friday) and Resurrection Wednesday, not Sunday.  Knowing that makes the Passover seder that much more meaningful.

With that in mind, on this Sunday after the true dates of remembrance of Christ's death and resurrection, Happy Belated Resurrection Wednesday!

hahahaha! You're so cute.

THIS YEAR it's that way, but Passover isn't always the same day. Jesus was in the grave through the Sabbath because He became our Sabbath rest (according to Hebrews).
