My Husband Rocks Friday!

Yesterday a family from our church had a funeral for a grandfather. Big Red took time off work to so to the funeral, supporting them and showing them we care. I went with the kids as well, but I'm always free.

He rocks for being so involved in our community. I love that he has his priorities right and that I don't have to nag him about going to these things.

Honey, I love your heart for our friends! Thanks for helping make them feel loved yesterday! I look up to you for it!

Thankful Thursday

  • No one played an April Fools joke on me!
  • My husband doesn't say anything bad about my cooking...even when it's deserved.
  • God answered our prayer about our friend, Dave Thompson, to the word!
  • For a hubby who thinks I'm deserving of time at a day spa with a friend! Massage and salt scrub...I'm so spoiled!
  • For a hubby who isn't afraid to be alone with two kids.
  • For the stamina and ability to walk to Target with two kids and a double stroller.
  • For a dad who would call us 4 times to make sure Red is healthy.
  • For our health!
  • Our son knew night time was for sleeping right off the bat.
  • We have neighbors who don't mind our daughter walking around their front yard and poking at their flowers.
  • Enough breastmilk to feed BOTH kids.
  • Veggie Tales! We don't have to fret about our kids seeing dying or missing parents or anything else inappropriate.

Praise Report!

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for praying – through your prayer covering God has given us great peace.

The neurosurgeon is “not convinced” this is a tumor. He says that the MRI trail from the last two years proves that this has been inside Dave’s head for at least that long (doctors never saw it before because they were looking in a different area) and has gotten smaller, rather than larger, during that time. He believes it’s more likely “a shadow of a scar” from an old, silent stroke that never manifested any noticeable symptoms. He wants Dave to have another MRI in one year so he can track his progress.

Last Sunday our pastor prayed that the surgeon would find this blip on the MRI to be “only a shadow.”

Dave is very much relieved. He’s taking a long nap right now to catch up on some lost sleep and then he’s going back to work.

We’re continuing to believe that God will restore him to divine health and wholeness, and that all symptoms will be healed and reversed.

Praising Him,

Side note: This guy from our church has been through major medical drama! He's already been completely healed of a brain tumor and stroke. When he goes to the hospital he called it "an assigment from God" because every time he gets a chance to share God or show His power.
