Prayer Request

No, the baby's not here yet...

The past couple days I felt some sickness coming on and this morning I woke up with a bunch of phlegm in my throat and a cough. As the baby's birth is getting closer, I'd like to be healthy during labor. Please pray this cough will go away now and the baby will get here. He/she's 6-7 days past the EDD and Karrots was born 8 days over, so we'll see how this one compares!

I'm also getting frustrated in trying to sleep lately. Just laying down hurts all my joints and sitting back up hurts as the baby makes his/her way back down, pushing on nerves. It's kinda funny watching me hobble to the bathroom late at night. Pray the baby will come or will get in a comfortable position for me. He/she's still posterior. (For those of you who don't understand the prego lingo, posterior is with the baby's head down, but facing front...breeched is when the baby's feet first.) My midwife said it's not a big deal as most babies will face back quick once labor starts, but it's not super comforable for me.

My Husband Rocks Friday!

1. List at least one thing your husband did or said in the past week that reminded you why you love him.

Last night we went on a late walk after dinner through the neighborhood. (Mostly I was hoping it might get this baby out!) As we were walking Big Red started flirting with me and then I said something along the lines of, "what will the neighbors say?" So he grabbed me and gave me a long kiss saying he'd give them something to talk about.

I love that he can be such a "rebel" and honestly doesn't care what others may say...and he's a great kisser, but that's just a bonus I found after falling in love with him.

2. Share a "Generous Wife Tip" - it can be on any subject - anything that you do or would like to do more often to make your husband feel loved and respected!

I love making it a big deal for Karrots when Big Red gets home from work. It lets him know we missed him and appreciate his time and presence. I used to get her super excited, but then a couple months ago she'd get so excited she'd start crying, which is not the response I was looking for. Now when I say daddy's home she starts laughing uncontrollably and we hide so we can pop out at daddy.

Make sure your hubby knows how excited you are that he comes home so that it's something he enjoys doing instead of going elsewhere after work. It's especially fun with a little one who you can hide with and pop out with when he walks through the door. Greet him with a smile, not a bunch of issues you'd like him to solve.
