Spiritual Tests cont.

Well, it seems to have spread farther than I knew. The entire family we spent Sunday with were throwing up Monday night and my girlfriend who got it with her baby was in ER last night with him. She can't keep anything down and was having trouble breathing and losing her balance.

Also, last night, Karrots had a hard time. We finally got her down around 10:30pm and she couldn't sleep an entire hour without waking up screaming. I don't know if it was a sore throat (as she has a bad cough and I'm catching up with her on symptoms) or teething or what. She even threw up a bit at one point. All I could do to calm her was walk her, praying. She'd fall asleep and them wake up screaming. This happened until 4am. I got a little sleep with her. I had her in the Maya Wrap and sat on a chair and slept a bit with her and while feeding her.

After such a night, she still woke up at 8am.

Please be keeping us all in prayer. I really feel like this has been a spiritual attack because of the timing, i.e. the service on Sunday. It's nice to know Satan fears us and sorta confirms we're headed in the right direction. Pray for the faith to believe and see healing.

I Wore an Apron and I Voted!

Our good friends, Gana and Daja, invited Heather and I over to play with their kids while they attended a couples conference. So, while all the adults were away, we thought we'd see what mischief we could get into. It all started when I saw the apron. Then, before we knew it, Izzy had gum stuck in his hair, the living room heater had been disabled, and the remnants of the kids' breakfast covered the entire floor. Not bad for only four and a half hours.

Spiritual Tests

"This is in harmony with the whole scheme of redemption. Our Lord always wins for us the opposite of what He suffered. He was bound that we might go free. He was made sin that we might become the righteousness of God. He died that we might live. He bore God's cure that God's blessing might be ours. He endured the not answering of His prayer that our prayers might find an answer. Yea, He spake, "Not as I will," that He might say to us, "If ye abide in me, ask what ye will; it shall be done unto you."

We spent the entire church service yesterday stating, singing, and praying scripture on healing. Our pastor called for a fast that started last week. One of our members has been hospitalized numerous times for rheumatoid arthritis and currently cannot leave until she is able to eat. As she's been extremely nauseous, she doesn't want to try eating.

It was an awesome time or crying out to the Lord and challenging our faith!

Big Red shared the testimony of a friend's SIL's mom who has been diagnosed with MS and a form of arthritis. Every night she writes down on her tablet of paper a scripture on healing, reading all of the scriptures she's collected. Whenever she visits her doctor she gets blood tests done and the doctor explains that the results say she shouldn't be walking.
"Then the Lord answered me and said: 'Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.'" Habakkuk 2:2

When people ask her about it she explains that every night she takes her tablet before going to bed. She reminds herself of God's promises of healing and she doesn't feel any symptoms.

We also heard another testimony from Donna. She explained that she had been diagnosed with cancer on her face. She did the same thing. She wrote down on a tablet the scriptures on healing. After reading them she knew she had been healed. When she went to the doctor, he told her that she still needed a biopsy, which she had no problem in getting. At her follow up appointment the doctor came in with his clip board and started checking things off and saying, "I don't know what happened!" He was so confused that she had been healed!

Well, this past Saturday Karrots woke up throwing up. After getting back to sleep, she woke up hungry and after I fed and laid her down, she threw up again. Thankfully, it was only those two times. She's been able to keep things down since then.

Monday I woke up throwing up. For me, it lasted all day. My body was achy and I was tingly all over. At one point I lost control of my hands. They were stuck in the flexed position and I couldn't move them. It reminded me of one of the ladies at church, Gina, who has juvenile arthritis.

I found out that our friend from church had also thrown up yesterday and another friend from church had a stomachache. One of the friends we visited Sunday has been throwing up all day today and her baby is fussy.

Lord! When will we see Your healing power manifest? When will we have the faith to protect us from the fiery darts of the enemy? Your word says we have authority for healing, that we are promised abundant life, that you heal all sickness, that we have power in Your name! When, O Lord? If there's anything in our lives that hinders our prayers, reveal it! Teach us how to pray!
