Psalm 94

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs-
O God, to whom vengeance
belongs, shine forth!
Rise up, O Judge of the earth;
Render punishment
to the proud.
LORD, how long will the wicked,
How long will the wicked triumph?

They utter speech, and speak insolent things;
All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves.
They break in pieces Your people, O LORD,
And afflict Your heritage.
They slay the widow and the stranger,
And murder the fatherless.
Yet they say, "The LORD does not see,
Nor does the God of Jacob understand."

Understand, you senseless among the people;
And you fools, when will you be wise?
He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?
He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct,
He who teaches man knowledge?
The LORD knows the thoughts of man,
That they are futile.

Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD,
And teach out of Your law,
That You may give him rest from the days of adversity,
Until the pit is dug for the wicked.
For the LORD will not cast off His people,
Nor will He forsake His inheritance.
But judgement will return to righteousness,
And all the upright in heart will follow it.

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?
Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Unless the LORD had been my help,
My soul would soon have settled in silence.
If I say, "My foot slips,"
Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up.
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.

Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law,
Have fellowship with You?
They gather together against the life of the righteous,
And condemn innocent blood.
But the LORD has been my defense,
And my God the rock of my refuge.
He has brought on them their own iniquity,
And shall cut them off in their own wickedness;
The LORD our God shall cut them off.

Last night we logged onto a web cast for the Prophetic Conference being held at Harvest Rock and Lou Engle was speaking. He talked on the upcoming elections and how there is no answer, yet to pray for one. He refuses to vote for anyone who is not Pro-life. He used Psalm 94 to talk about the judgement that is awaiting this country because of the genocide of the youth through abortion:

"They break in pieces Your people, O LORD, And afflict Your heritage." In abortions our babies our heritage, our children, are being torn into pieces!

"They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless. Yet they say, "'The LORD does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob understand.'" How many of the mothers are aborting babies because they know the baby wouldn't have a father?

"He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?"

"For the LORD will not cast off His people,Nor will He forsake His inheritance." God doesn't write the babies off as "tissue".

"Unless the LORD had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence." Because God gave me a mother who wanted me, I wasn't killed in the silence of her womb.

"Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, Have fellowship with You?" Is a government who allows this iniquity by law have anything to do with God?

"They gather together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood" the unborn...

"He has brought on them their own iniquity, And shall cut them off in their own wickedness; The LORD our God shall cut them off." Lou made a point: Do we think that we can really vote a president into office that will protect us from terrorism when God is going to judge this country for its atrocities?

Other scripture he mentioned:

"Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to an end, therefore as I live," says the LORD GOD, "I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue you." Ezekiel 35:5-6

"So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood denies the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it." Numbers 35:33

"Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man's brother I will require the life of man. 'Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.' " Genesis 9:9

Lou also compared the Dred Scott decision, saying blacks lives weren't valid, to the Roe vs. Wade decision that babies in the womb weren't valid. He said that Lincoln understood God's judgement when he spoke of the Civil War as judgement for the blood of the bond-men:

"Fondly do we hope--fervently do we pray--that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth piled by the bond-man's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said 'the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether'" Abraham Lincoln, Second Inaugural Address

Lord, turn this country around! Save the unborn and the lives of the mothers who feel they have no choice. Let life mean more. Change ideals and morals of presidential candidates so there is an absolute we can vote for. Save us!
