Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so thankful for so much in my life!

My husband has been my rock, partner, best friend, comfort, provider, leader, and so much more! He is more than I could have ever asked or prayed for! I'm so thankful that God decided to give me more than I deserve in him.

My baby girl, who is getting so big! She is healthy and beautiful and, most of the time, happy! We weren't planning on having her so soon, but God knew best and I wouldn't trade His timing for anything! She's been such a blessing for Big Red and I, as a couple and a family. She's brought up closer and given us innumerable smiles and joy. She's challenged me to love in natural birth, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and giving my time, all of which have opened my eyes to the love of the Father, knowing that He has perfect love for all His children! A couple days ago she woke up next to me with the biggest grin of joy...a smile that melted me heart!

My mother, for being such a great support! She's been here just about every week since Karrots' been born, helping where she can and loving our little cuddles! I'm thankful that God has been healing our relationship through this baby, teaching me I can rely on her and that she truly cares, respects our little family, and wants what's best for us and helping us get comfortable with showing our love. She truly is a great example for me of humility.

My dad...he loves me the best way he knows how, which is a lot! He desires what's best for my family as well. He's given my husband a job where he can learn and provide for his family.

The rest of my family, who have always been there for me when I needed them and given me more pleasant memories than I can count! I love you all!

For the ability, support and provision to be a home-maker.

Our church...they have been a great community of support and love. As our church is so small, we're a close knit family. I love that they're open for God to move and that they challenge us to live for Him, not religion. For a pastor who lives a life that flows from his teachings and has a passion to prick our hearts.

For a roof over our heads, full of more than we need. We never go hungry or without clean clothes, a bed, or a least not against our will! God is a God of provision!

Friends...those who challenge our beliefs and hold us to higher expectations, keeping us accountable and encouraging us. I'm thankful that each of our friends loves our little one and has our best interests in mind. I love our community of support!

For God's word, that's it's so readily available, even though we don't always take advantage of it.

Lord, thank you for all of the above and every aspect of our lives! Help us to see Your provision in the little things.

Too Fast!

So, according to Carters, our baby girl is in a size 6 months! I didn't find this out until I went to get her a Winnie the Pooh outfit in a different brand and she happened to be in the upper end of the size for 6 months. Then I came home and checked in her bag of 6 months clothes to see if they mentioned when she'll fit. According to the tag, she's size 6 months! She's over 14 lbs. and 26 inches!

Our little girl is growing so fast! I must have some good milk! Praise God!

Don't Forget to Wash Your Hands!

My parents won this at some party of theirs...I'm not sure if it came with the reward stickers, but they have the toilet paper holder...

Logan update

Big Red and I went to visit Kristin, Brian and the new baby last night. He's adorable, healthy, and slept the whole time. His little cry is so tiny!

While there Kristin was corrected. The baby's weight was 9 lb. 9 oz.! He was 22 1/2" long. Beautiful! We didn't get a picture yet, but hopefully soon.

Kristin looked amazing as well! She was up walking on her own, in her own clothes, tired from her 3+ days of you can imagine! She also had those annoying nurses who come in every 10 minutes to check your blood pressure. I have no idea how they expect a mother who just had a baby to recover without sleep! Poor Brian was falling asleep on the chair while we were there.

She told me a little about the labor and birth, which has further convinced me to have our next babies at home. She's been sick and most of their time at the hospital they wouldn't let her drink water or eat...just in case they needed a C-section. They said she didn't need it as she was hooked up to an IV, in which arm, consequently, she is in pain now.

The baby came out head up, which explains all the back labor she was experiencing. It was so severe she tried an epidural, which she was deathly afraid of. It wasn't until they administered the epidural that they told her it wouldn't help with the back pain. Thanks!

The hospital had her transfer beds once the baby's head was half way out. (How annoying!) The doctor wasn't even ready by then and so the nurses kept telling her not to push as she explained she had to. Once the baby was out the doctor told her she only needed 3 stitches, which is the best she's seen.

The baby passed the hearing test in less than 2 minutes, which amazed all the nurses. He's a healthy one!

Congrats you two again! You're going to be great parents!

This is SOOO true! The doctors told both Kristin and I that our babies were due a month prior to our due dates simply because our babies were too big. My baby was 8 lb. 12 oz. and hers was 9 lb. 5 oz. Big? Well, bigger than most women think they can handle, but they weren't any 10 lb. 10 oz. baby!

Congrats to my friends Kristin and Brian! She birthed her baby today at 8:46pm. Little Logan Robert weighed in at 9 lbs. 5 oz.! I guess they make "big" babies!

Congratulations you two! You're gonna be GREAT parents!
