More Mexico Pictures...

Here are some pictures from our January trip down to Casa Hogar:

Rebecca and Raquel waiting in line for lunch...

Misael...Need I say more?...

This is the beginnings of the school on their property. For months it was just a slab of concrete, but they keep building as the money comes in. The community kicked the kids out of the nice public school and they are now attending school in broke down modulars. The pictures shown at the spaghetti dinner for Casa Hogar included broken windows and a hole with a tire for the restroom. George, our construction leader, broke down over how badly they needed the new school and Soledad's heart to invite the community in by providing education for those who need. The school will also have a dentist office and music room.

Diego...one of the midget heart throbs...

Nayeli and Big Red...

Big Red playing with the girls...mainly Araseli...

Diego's playing lego guns with Big Red...this is right before his "dramatic death"

These are some older pictures with Lucia in them. Her and her sisters, Itamar, Raquel, and Esther lived here for over a year. Their sister, Mari, and brother-in-law, Carlos, were the night watch for the kids. Now they are living at the Bible college where Carlos teaches. He is working on becoming a pastor. Lucia, my mom's favorite, is still going to school in Ensenada and had the highest test grades of the city this past year. The school is giving her a discount, but they still have to pay $60/month.

Raquel, Lucia and Monica (the old laundry lady - 24/7 job!)...and of course, Eliseo making bunny ears!

Monica with Lucia, Jesus, Miguel and Marcos - in front of "Monica's car"
